Our Board Members

Tracey Masella, MSW, Board Chair - Holds a BA in English from Marquette University and a MSW from Fordham University. She began her professional career in academic publishing before moving into the non-profit sector; she has worked both internationally with the Journal Donation Project and locally with New Haven Family Alliance (CT). She is currently working as a counselor at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. Ms. Masella served for five years as a member of the board of the Friends of St. Aloysius School, Inc. foundation, two years as president.
Beatrice Adiedo, Treasurer - Holds an MA Degree in Industrial Sociology and has worked for many years in the nonprofit realm mainly in organizational development through fundraising, program development and evaluation initiatives. Ms. Adiedo has also worked with UNICEF and with the South African Government National Development Agency. Additionally, she has served as a Program Manager at New School University in NYC.
Dr. Mercy Amua-Quarshie, Secretary - Board Certified ObGyn Physician and Fellow of the American Board of ObGyn. She has over 10 years experience in this field. Dr. Amua-Quarshie has a BA in Psychology from Cornell University, an MPH from Columbia University and an MD from NYU School of Medicine. Her ObGyn Residency was at Boston University School of Medicine and is a practicing doctor in NJ and Connecticut.
Frances Sadler, Board Member - Over 20 years experience in health care administration as a change agent. Worked in home and community based health care organizations of all sizes and various sponsorships improving systems, workflow and outcomes through implementation of technological advances and performance improvement activities. She presently serves as a Chief Operating Officer at Union Settlement Home Care Services, Inc.

Nurbanu Asena, Technology Advisor - Illustrator and founder of PO'SA is a non-profit organization, aimed to enhance interaction between people and art. PO'SA makes collaborative art projects that improves connection and interaction between artists, art and people.
Jeannette Wainaina, Networks Advisor - With over 5 years of financial, investment and project management experience in New York City with Fortune 100 Corporations. Jeannette holds a Bachelors in Business Administration in Finance and Investments from Baruch College in New York City. Jeannette is a frequent field evaluator of MRA operations in Kenya as well as leverages contacts in the US to support programming in East Africa.

East Africa Regional Staff

Berage Wainaina, RN, Regional Director East Africa - With over 10 years of RN experience and community development expertise, Ms. Berage leads MRA operations in East Africa assisted with a team of Public Health experts, Veterinary Officers, Business Manager (Social Venture Capitalists), Kenya Government Officials (Chiefs, MPs, District Officers and Medical Officials).
Gustav Moyo, RN, Project Coordinator, Tanzania - Mr. Moyo has served as the Registrar and Chief Executive officer of the Tanzanian Nurses and Midwife's Council. He has astute understanding of Public Health issues and marries this with community development initiatives. He is aided with MRA field coordinators, local government Tanzanian officials, veterinary officers and members of International Nonprofits such as Farm Africa.
